HART Toolbox: Hardware Access in Real-Time for scilab/scicos | http://hart.sourceforge.net/index.html | 2008-10-03 |
The HART (Hardware Access in Real-Time) Toolbox can be used to generate Scicos-blocks for hardware that have a C/C++ interface. The blocks can be used under Linux for soft and hard real time tasks (RTAI). Blocks are provided for DAQ (COMEDI)

A real-time educational remote Lab based on RTAI-Lab and RTAI-XML.
ComediClientServer | http://www.ajvar.org/~calin/ComediClientServer | 2007-05-29 |
ComediClientServer: a simple testing tool for playing with your COMEDI hardware. Perhaps useful just like the National Instruments testing tools are useful for twiddling bits, setting AO voltages, etc. There's a windows installer too for the client!

Orchestra Control Engine | http://www.orchestracontrol.com | 2008-05-20 |
A suite of software components, based on Linux/RTAI, for the planning, development and deployment of real-time control applications for industrial machines and robots
Pack4Linux | http://www.pack4linux.org | 2010-04-14 |
Pack4Linux is a pre-patched RTAI Linux distribution designed to be portable between system to allow those new to real time programming to focus on their real time application as quickly as possible. Pack4Linux can be run persistently from CD, hard disk or Compact Flash. It includes a minimalist graphic UI and is perfect for embedded targets. Will be updated periodically in the future for new stable versions of Linux and RTAI.

A laser cutting machine, based on RTAI on a Pentium III.
QRtaiLab | http://qrtailab.sourceforge.net/ | 2008-10-05 |
QRtaiLab is a QT4-based port by Holger Nahrstaedt of the virtual oscilloscope xrtailab of the RTAI project. It communicates with the running real-time executable and can be used for monitoring, parameter access and data saving.
RTAI based laser projector | http://linemb.d-sciencelab.be/cases/laserprojector/ | 2008-01-18 |
In the research project LinEmb, to search for the possibilities for Linux to be embedded and real-time, we created a software based laser projector. RTAI was used on a PowerPC, and showed very nice results. Beware that this project was done in 2001-2002 (... likely not a problem as PowerPC still works well on RTAI)!
Toolbox for Feedback Control of Sound (TFCS) | http://ccrma.stanford.edu/~eberdahl/Projects/TFCS/ | 2008-06-27 |
This toolbox demonstrates how to integrate RTAI, Comedi, STK and OSC for controlling vibration and sound. Detailed description of how to configure the system, from start to finish, is reported. In particular, how to reserve one processor for running only feedback control code, allowing the adopted configuration to achieve less than one sample of total system delay at sampling rates as high as 50kHz, is explained. Detailed measurements of jitter for various system loads are also included. |
